Where is Strilasauna located, and how do I get there?
Strilasauna has two locations: Kolltveit kai and Kjøpmannsvågen, under the Rongesund Bridge.
Kolltveit: Drive to Kolltveit kai and park at the top left, before the footbridge, on top of the garage roof. Walk down the hill and follow the marina.
Kjøpmannsvågen: Park in the marked sauna parking area under the Rongesund Bridge, walk down and around the red boathouse marked Øygarden Kajakksenter. The changing room is on the short side of the boathouse.
What are your opening hours?
Both saunas are normally open Monday to Sunday from 16:00–23:00.
On Saturdays and Sundays, they open at 12:00.
Note: The Kolltveit sauna also opens at 12:00 every Thursday.
How many people can the sauna accommodate?
Kolltveit (Stora Varmestøvo): about 14–16 people.
Kjøpmannsvågen (Varmestøvo): about 10 people.
What are the prices for drop-in and group bookings?
Drop-in adult (60 min): NOK 180
Children under 16: NOK 120
Group booking (60 min): NOK 1,500
Group booking (2 hours): NOK 2,000
Can I book the whole sauna privately?
Yes - it’s possible to make a group booking to have the sauna all to yourselves.

What facilities are available?
Kjøpmannsvågen: Changing room in the boathouse and a public toilet about 20 meters away. Outdoor showers are available – but removed during winter.
Kolltveit: Has its own changing room next to the sauna. Outdoor showers are available – but removed during winter.
Are there any special rules I should follow?
Yes, including the following:
- No alcohol, except for private group bookings.
- No food or snus (smokeless tobacco) in the sauna.
- Bathing and use are at your own risk.
- Always use a towel on the bench.
- Do not pour seawater on the stove – use only freshwater.
How can I cancel or change a booking?
For drop-in: Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance may receive a 50% refund at some locations.
What should I bring?
Bring a towel (preferably two), a water bottle to stay hydrated, and a swimsuit or other suitable sauna wear.
How do I book?
Book through our website under “Book drop-in” eller "Group order" for your preferred date and time. Select your preferred location on the website.
